Spicy Coaltana is a melee weapon in Grounded. It is a Tier 3 item. It deals 85 damage as a Slashing attack. In-game it is described as: "Sear foes with a finely crafted blade, hammered out of tempered spicy globs and always-hot EverChar coal chunks."
A melee weapon, so you have to close the distance — weigh its stun value if you plan to trade hits rather than hit and run.
Its 85 damage puts it among the stronger of the 37 melee entries tracked here (#13 by raw damage).
Its Spicy augmentation matches the 15 creatures in this database that are weak to Spicy damage — including Black Soldier Ant, Black Widowling, Black Worker Ant, and 12 more.
As a Slashing weapon it exploits the physical weakness of the 6 creatures here weak to Slashing damage — Bee, Infected Mite, Infected Wolf Spider, and 3 more.
Practical notes: it is obtained via Defend the Flaming Sword in the EverChar Coal Bag.
Verdict: Overall Spicy Coaltana is a melee weapon whose Spicy elemental damage is worth matching to the creatures weak to it.
